Tonight, i shall blog.
I think its been a long time since i sat down, settled down and put my heart to writing a proper blog post. For the past month or two, i've been quite busy and all i've managed to post up are short snippets now and then. So i hope i can produce something meaningful tonight.
So lemme bring y'all up-to-date on what i've been so busy on.
first of all, my thesis. ITS KILLING ME!!
not that i'm really working hard on it cas i'm a fantastic procrastinator. its just that doing a thesis requires alot of self discipline and self motivation, and it requires me to do a lot of self research. but thats precisely the problem. i'm not the type of person to do just that. i need someone to really push from behind and set crazy deadlines before i'm willing to sit tight and do work. As a result of that i end up doing a lot of last minute work, which ultimately leads to crappy work and countless amendments. damn.
next, i'm quite the busy with the upcoming D2YC 2009. no longer in charge of logistics, but i'm technically the 'mentor', so yea still gotta poke my head in every once in a while. Besides, since we're doing it at the newly built UBV temple, there is quite a bit of pressure on us to perform. heh
thirdly, MANGAS!!! woohoo!! haha
i've gotta thank and hate Ziwen for this. First he intro AIKI, which i spent a total of 2 days reading. then on one of his rare trips back, a short conversation on One Piece got me intrigued, and now i'm bloody hooked to it!! Argh! i spent 5 days in a row doing nothing but reading One Piece! jeez!
Anyways, there are a few things i'm looking forward to this month and next.
- I'm looking forward to finishing my stupid thesis.
- D2YC 2009
- Penang trip with my d2y homies
- Rock The World 9
and a few more la here and there.
anyways, i just ran out of ideas, so i shall stop here.
cheers! XD

We Beat the Scums!

JT is my hero! We beat the scums!
i don't care if Scum fans claim that Drogba was in an offside position and thus the goal shouldn't have been given. Bottom line is, we got the ball in the net, ref gave it, and we won. Simple.
To any Scum bitches out there. Serves you guys right. you guys can't even beat a weakened Liverpool, don't even dream about beating us. heh
Overall, i was ecstatic over the match and result. But i would have been happier if Martin Atkinson (ref) gave that wanker of a Jonny Evans and Antonio Valencia red cards. they deserved it. but then gain, knowing that it Man Utd, they prolly wouldn't get it anyways.
Once again, Keep The Blue Flag Flying High!
cheers!

Great Weekend, Awesome Concert
And so last week ended on quite the high, with another fantastic performance by the All American-Rejects.
I'm not the biggest AAR fan but it doesn't take a hardcore fan to know that they were simply awesome onstage, especially Tyson Ritter and his onstage antics.
Gawd, Tyson is such a manwhore and all them teenage girls were simply going crazy screaming his name. A few of them even blackout-ed because of that i daresay.
Anyways, watch that video. its the full highlights shot by The Star's videographer, Aaron Raj.
cheers

Wow
Wow. that is really an amazing picture. Phillipe Senderos of Arsenal and Switzerland heads the ball during an Euro 2008 match. I am just wondering how fast that ball could have been, to be headed in such a way. I'm also wondering whether did Mr Senderos suffer any brain damage after that. prolly he did, which explains his extremely poor form throughout 08-09 season.Sometimes its just amazing how footballers can head a ball thats travelling like a bullet and just stand back up asif nothing happened. Last Saturday's match, Blackburn's Gael Givet got smashed in the face by quite a bullet from my Chelsea's Michael Ballack. he dropped like a sack of potatos and got back up almost instantly. Amazing. and hilarious.
and this pic, is simply amazing. there are so many matches in a season and many pictures will be shot in a match, and yet only one can win the prestigious Barclay's photographic award. this was a shot of Blackburn's Jason Roberts sending a header over Fulham's Mark Schwarzer on March 11 earlier this year. Photo was shot by a Graham Chadwick who used a special filter called "starburst" to distort the floodlights and here's the end result.anyways, short one today. been thinking of topic to write but not having any inspirations. hah
cheers

Cuaca Mendung Dengan Kemungkinan Hujan Bebola Daging
did I get it correct? think i did.
otherwise known as Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs.

watch it! i don't care how, but you guys just have to watch it! go to cinemas, download or buy "fan pan" dvd, whichever, as long as you watch it. But do fill up your stomach first before watching, or else you're bound to feel damn hungry throughout the show.
For an animated film that has a pretty predictable plot, guy's an inventor, creates all kinds of junk and yet people label him as a loser. than he creates a machine that makes food out of water but the machine goes haywire and food become sentient before the main char destroys the machine. throw in some romantic elements at the same time. pretty damn cliched isn't it? it is damn funny, simply full of laughs. Ice age, what Ice age? Enter the Meatballs. XD
Really though, the main selling point of Meatballs is all about the laughs it can generate. the plot's just all right, like i said, kinda cliched, not too spectacular but just nice. the lines are friggin cheesy at times, but its because of the setting, its damn bloody funny. and the characters are simply amazing, especially Flint (main char) and Earl the cop. Oh..not to mention, Flint's pops Tim is also pretty darn cool, especially with his eyebrows that kills. heh
watch it. like NAOW!! haha

Ah Yia's Hilarious Dinner Disaster
"Is this for one person?" asks the waiter, amused.
"Yes."
"Do you know how to eat?"
*pause......*
"No."
And the table breaks off into rapturous laughter.
We were having dinner at this restaurant called Vietnam House? if i'm not mistaken, up at Genting and that, was the response that Ah Yia gave when the waiter served him his 5 different type of beef platter that was supposed to be rolled up like popiah.
First off, that was a dish meant for at least 3 heads. it was simply a lot of meat. Even i couldn't imagine meself eating that much. For him to order that alone already damn champion.
so, as you see, it is a lot of food. Amazing thing is that he did manage to finish all. with, the help of a lot of "assistants".
Heck, while he was fumbling and bumbling about with the food, the waiter was even laughing and smiling. and that waiter, he did a facepalm too. I guess watching Yia tackle his supposed popiah was just good entertainment. haha it seems only the most epic and funny things happen to him.
In the end, one of the waitress had to come over and demo for him how to properly roll it up. XD and by the end of dinner all the gals had fun rolling up for him. what a sight. haha
That was a memorable dinner. All of us spare Ah Yia, had 2 dinners, the second was plain ol' laughing gas. It was a good trip up to Genting again and everyone had fun.
But but, i wouldn't be going up again, not for a very long time.

Its a Hit!
Well whatdaya guys know, there's a batting cage in Malaysia after all! i mean its been there for a for some time back but i only just checked it out recently.
Thing is, i love baseball. i rank it the 3rd favourite choice sport of mine after football and American football. i don't exactly follow the MLB since there aint much people who do watch baseball in Malaysia anyways, but whenever there's a game on ESPN, i'd be sure to watch it.
Baseball is quite the technical sport and it is a one of those real team games. its basically hitting the ball out of the park, but its actually more than just that cas there are a lot of strategies and techniques as well.
So anyways, after learning that there was a batting cage above One U, the rooftop, i went to check it out last Friday with a bro. Figured we do some swings and it wouldn't be that hard. Afterall, i'm exposed to too much baseball manga (Cross Game, H2) and characters there always seemed to smack the ball easily.
ohbytheway, the place was called, Its A Hit!
Anyways, boy i was so wrong regarding how easy swinging the bat was. Its damn friggin hard! I was simply a case of not so epic afterall. i though I could easily do an Alex Rodriguez, but shit i was worst than your average 10 year old kid in the states.
we had 3 tokens each, total of 45 balls, and i barely hit 10 balls. my timing was all over the place. Even at the slowest speed of 40mph, i can't hit shit. goddamnit. haha
But heck, it was still kinda fun, and i prolly go again sometime soon.
here's a couple of pics, quality is damn bad cas i was so damn beat out after swinging air 45 times and couldn't be bothered to take better pics.
